(a 'meta' solution using a multi-strand pearl necklace as a staggered spot for earrings)
Jen's Driftwood Hook-Up
(lots of wee little hooks keep her necklaces, and even clip-on earrings, stored and un-heaped)
Nice idea, I like the first one, is quite easy and decorative.
